Selling to Women by Using Women

If you have ever waltzed into a porn store or a sex toy shop, you have surely noticed the packaging of the materials. The sex toys for women have the same appeal as sex toys for men. Both packaging methods use naked or nerly naked women. Some have a picture of a naked couple embracing in a sex act. This has always made me wonder, why do they use the same methodology to sell sex toys to women and men?
Nowehere else will you see this, or nowehere I can think of right now - except perfume ads, refer to the post below when I talked about that. Even the perfume ads are sexy, not provacatove. To sell a vibrator, they have a naked women with big implants. Do women really want to see this? Why on earth would they plaster this all over their vibrators? Why are they verging towards slutty and not sexy?
If I were the manufacturer of sex toys and released a vibrator line, I would put a waterfall or tropical scenery to make the women think that the vibrator will take them away to an orgasmic oasis, away from the stress and hustle and bustle of every day life. The packaging would be nature - like and fresh. I would not really appeal to much to sex becuase many women are more inhibited and want to to be more a of a discreet experience as they buy sex toys.
On the other hand, masturbators have the same packaging a young college girl pulling down her pants and straing back, for example. Why do the sex toy manufacturers use nudity to sell to women, and not really regular janet jackson style sexy nudity, but raunchy sexual nudity. I think that they do this becuase these women are porn stars. They are sexually uninhibited, free and ging as they do now, That is the best way to sell to men, that's not deep psychology, everyone knows this. Check out the packages of sex dolls to see what I mean, these are the same women that are selling vibrators to women! Does that not go against all teachings of sexual advertising? Why would you push the unnatainable in the face of regular everyday women?

Shopping at sex toy stores online, you don't usually see the packaging, only the the product that is there. I'm sure that somehwere along the line thse companies care becuase even though they are alredy millionaires, they still have to sell products to keep the cash flow coming because even though the sex toy industry is huge, there are a great number of competitors, other companies selling the same products. I've also seen 70's style packaging that does not attract any attention at all, it is completely outdated and old fashioned. The biggest guilty company of this is Doc Johnson sex toys. They have the worst packaging, but only recently have they changed to make it more current with elegant nuidty from sexy porn stars, not mullet-headed porn strars from 1970!
I thought about the over exterted sexual undertones of selling sex toys to women and it does make sense when you think about it. Sex toys are the most sexual thing.
